Job Description: Papaya is now hiring experienced character artists to create both original and licensed character models. We are looking for artists that are adaptable and able to be productive right away.
The ideal candidate has a portfolio and resume that clearly demonstrates that he/she has classical training in drawing, painting and animating and experience in the 3D modeling, texturing.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for modeling, texturing, and rigging of in-game characters. Working closely with Art Director and Leads to maintain art style and cohesive look and feel throughout the game. Meet tight deadlines and milestones by staying on top of the schedule. Communicating with designers, producers, programmers, and fellow artists.
Minimum Requirements:- Expert Modeling and texturing skills using 3D Max, or equivalent 3D package
- Superior eye for detail, light, color balance in texturing
- Thorough understanding of shape, structure and form for modeling
- Experience rigging, skinning, and managing UV spacing
- Excellent reporting skills, documentation abilities, Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Plusses:- Excellent traditional drawing skills
- Proficient in concept drawing/creation skills
- Experience creating both cartoon and realistic models
- Passion for video games, broad knowledge of titles and industry
